● Required Documents
1. Visa Application Form (attached file #1) or Visa Application form with Eligibility Certificate (attached file #2) -[Regular visa application, file #1]: Please print out the regular visa application (5 pages). - Section 1.7 National Identity Number: SIN # - Section 2.2 Visa Code: your visa category you are applying for. -[Visa Issuance Number Holders, file #2]: Please print and fill out the visa application form with Eligibility certificate (2 pages). 2. Original Passport and a photocopy of passport (For Non-Canadian, provide valid Canadian visa) - Original passport must have a validity of 6 months or more left - If you are not Canadian, photocopy of PR Card or other Canadian Valid Visa such as Work/Study Permit) ※ PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FOR NON-CANADIANS TO APPLY FOR VISA, THOSE OF THE FOLLOWING NATIONALITY: CHINA, PHILIPPINES, INDONESIA, VIETNAM, MONGOL, THAILAND, PAKISTAN, SRI LANKA, INDIA, MYANMAR, NEPAL, IRAN, RUSSIA, UZBEKISTAN, KAZAKHSTAN, KRYGYZSTAN, UKRAINE, NIGERIA, GHANA, EGYPT, PERU SHOULD BE A RESIDENT OF CANADA FOR MORE THAN TWO YEARS AND WILL BE ASKED TO SUBMIT GOVERNMENT ISSUED DOCUMENTATION TO PROVE. (PERMENANT RESIDENTS DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT FURTHER DOCUMENTS) 3. 1 Colour Photo (size 3.5 x 4.5cm) - White background, date stamped taken within 6 months at the back of the photo 4. Photocopy of the passport and the visa of principal applicant (the person holding the one of the visas describe in the eligibility criteria) 5. A family relation certificate (original and photocopy) - Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate or a Certification on Family Relations Records - i.e. for Canadians, certified copy of marriage registration (to prove marital relationship) or Certified copy of birth registration (to prove parent-child relationship). - Original document will be returned back to you 6. Documents supporting your financial ability - A proof employment and tax payment certificate and others ※ If you are unable to submit tax payment certificate for reasons (for example, if you are applying together with the principal applicant of a certain type of D-category visa), you can submit other financial documents instead. 7. Visa Fee (Cash or Credit/ Debit Card) - $81 CAD for Canadians - Money Order (Pay to the orderㅡKorean consulate General) 8. Documents to prove renunciation (국적상실/이탈신고) Only applicable for those who had Korean nationality in the past. -[If you reported before 2008]: O If you have reported renunciation before 2008, please provide jejokdeungbon (제적등본) issued within 3 months from the date of application. -[If you reported after 2008]: O If you have reported renunciation after 2008, please provide basic certificate (“기본증명서” ) and family relation certification (“가족관계증명서”) issued within 3 months from the date of application in detailed version (상세, 전부공개). ※ Photocopies of these documents can be submitted but not printed photos. Please be aware that if the documents have 2 pages, you must submit the second page also. |

※ Please refer to each visa category you’re applying for to verify the required documents for your visa category. ※ If you already received a visa, but never used before and have a remaining validity date, you cannot resubmit your visa application. ※ Please note that additional documents may be requested upon Consul’s review ※ It is unlawful to ship your passport overseas. ※ The head of Korean diplomatic missions abroad may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation. ※ After your visa has been submitted, all submitted supporting documents will not be returned back to the applicant except your original passport, PR Card, Visa Permits. During the visa process, you may cancel your visa but, we do not return your submitted documents and visa fee. ※ When you apply your visa through Canada Prepaid Xpress envelope, please keep your tracking # (MW 000 000 000 CA). You must include Canada Prepaid Xpress return envelope (return address written on it) and original passport along with other visa documents. ※ Please be aware that incomplete application package will be returned back to you without processing. |
